Do we really know the numbers in China are accurate, much like the info on the Mexico scene.....If you do not count all of them then I guess you do not have a problem....sometimes too much info can be used for positive or negative reasons....but seriously Bob I would not be to complacent about the Mexico news feed.

Why does anyone concern themselves about the statistics of any country when they are never going to be accurate until this is over. I highly suspect that there are many more cases here and in the U.S. and in Canada because there has not been enough testing done. Short of exhuming bodies after the fact in every nook and cranny of any country, none of them will ever really know the numbers

I think the Chinese government stomped on it as quickly as they could. They already had a down turning economy because of the Trump trade wars. What would be the point of doing nothing and dragging their economy into an even deeper spiral? It could be so much worse for ALL countries if they hadn't acted. It seemed draconian at the time. Not any more.

When China first started publishing their numbers they started seeing a predictable pattern. China’s credibility was brought into question when their daily figures fit this pattern. So it was seen that they weren’t telling us their real numbers but making them up so they fit this pattern. It was not until. South Korea and Italy brought out their numbers that we started seeing the true scope of the problem.

It's probably double that, CB. I agree about trying to track numbers that are at best guesses and at worst just flat out lies.

Looting has begun. The looters are organized, they even have a few social media pages that allow them to plan and organize and hit a target in large numbers - like 30, 70.

1/3 - 1/2 of this country live hand to mouth and authorities are predicting this virus situation could go on until Oct. I am beginning to question my desire to survive this.

On the surface that statistic says a lot about America's preparedness and management of C-19 given China has four times the population and not one of the best health care systems in the world.

It would be interesting to see comparisons based on percentage of infections/deaths to each countries population

China, South Korea and the Netherlands seem to be getting on top of it. Their day to day rise has dropped significantly into the double digits while the US, Italy and Spain are rising by many thousands each day.

Relaxation of stringent measures. It takes a long time to develop herd immunity and until that time there will be swings in the number of cases.

you have to look at the new cases rather than the death. People who have the corona virus and are in serious conditionin the hospital continue dying in high number.. My sister tells me that n France the number of new cases went down yestrday... it is little good news since people continue dyng but it may mean something positive. We have to wait and see.

the numbers of new cases in Span and France are back up today.. so t probably was a hick up.. of course the increase could be a hick up as well..

Mexico is up to 717 confirmed cases. Thats a jump of about 135 since this morning. They will surpass the 1000 mark by late tomorrow or Sunday. They are off to the races now.......I'm predicting they will hit 5000 within two weeks at this rate, maybe sooner. The curve is getting very steep. Hopefully they keep the tapitios out the next few weeks.

I've heard the Passion Play has been cancelled. While they can't stop Semana Santa they can curb all activities surrounding it and keep the tapatios away.

Bob, there is an article in today and yesterdays informador that says that the company that was suppose to supply the test kits to the Jalisco government (I thinks it was supposed to be around 5000) mysteriously can no longer provide. Hence no kits no new cases (in Jalisco anyway). Shocked
